An increasing number of people are able to watch their Satellite, Cable or Video in various locations through out their home. In order to change channels or play tapes etc the Remote Control Handset has to be pointed at the appliance, which usually means having to go back into the lounge.

Using a Power Link system from anywhere within the home can control audio/visual equipment.

The Power Link system consists of - a Relay Unit, a Base Unit, two Power Supply Units and very extensive instructions.

The Relay Unit is placed in a convenient location that requires Extended Remote Control eg the bedroom. The Relay Unit senses the Infra-Red signals from the remote controls and transmits them by radio waves.

The Base Unit is positioned where it has an unobscured line of sight to the front of your audio/video equipment. Best results will be obtained by placing the Base Unit 2-5 metres away from your equipment ie on the other side of the room.

The Base Unit receives the radio waves transmitted by the Relay Unit. Which are converted back into InfraRed and beamed to your audio/video equipment, which will then respond accordingly.

The effective range is typically 50 meters between a Power Link Relay Unit and a Power Link Base Unit with enough power for even larger homes.
